  • Licensed Physician

    Toronto Poly Clinic is hiring licensed Physicians trained in Interventional Pain for a new modern clinic in Vaughan Ontario. Research shows that patients value Physicians who spend time with them and express genuine concern about their ailments and quality of life. That’s what we’re looking for: a Physician who can contribute compassionate, patient-centered care in our internal medicine practice.   • Medical Cannabis Coordinator

    Your primary goal in this role is to implement chronic pain and medical cannabis programs and educate patients and medical doctors on our services as a key member of our team of expert health care practitioners and educators. Working at Tree of Knowledge: Through its wholly owned subsidiary, the Toronto Poly Clinic(s), we offer a multidisciplinary approach to managing chronic pain. Our treatment programs incorporate interventions alongside physiotherapy, medical cannabis and phycological therapy to treat the whole person rather than simply mask the pain. We are looking for an independent person who will speak up and give us their feedback to make us better. We believe in making a difference in people’s lives.     Responsibilities:

    • Register and onboard new patients, completing the intake process
    • Visit medical clinics in GTA and Ontario to present and implement referral-based programs
    • Schedule appointments with physicians for new and existing patients
    • Perform follow-up calls and update files accurately
    • Communicate and collaborate with all cross functional team members to ensure optimal alignment on business opportunities and priorities
    • You will also be responsible for planning medical educational events
    • Representing the organization at conferences and setting up education booths
    • Provide ongoing support as well as education to patients so they can handle medical cannabis safely and effectively

    Qualifications:

    • Personable – not only do you love to talk; you love to connect with people. You have a knack for drawing people’s attention and can make conversations with anybody you encounter.
    • Detail-oriented – you make sure that client files are accurate and free of any oversights.
    • Driven – organizational and personal success is always on your mind and it’s what fuels you to strive for greater achievement
    • Experience handling administrative tasks and duties (e.g., working as an office administrator, office manager, etc.)
    • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Experience using an EMR/electronic medical record system, or other similar online patient database would be an asset
    • Experience working in a medical cannabis clinic or in a position where you obtained similar baseline cannabis knowledge would be an asset
    • Communicate well with others
    • You will need to have strong time management skills
    • Territory management experience is preferred as your success will come from targeting the right physicians and organizations and uncovering hidden opportunities.

    The Details:

    • This is a full-time position
    • Your hourly rate is $50/hr plus opportunity for commission (TBD)
    • There are opportunities for advancement.
    • Will require travel across Ontario
    • G-Driver’s license is preferred.
  • Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) (Full-Time)

    Toronto Poly Clinic is a busy Multidisciplinary Chronic Pain Management Centre for the treatment of chronic pain. We are currently looking to recruit a registered practical nurse for our various locations in North York and Woodbridge.

    At Toronto Poly Clinic we are involved in physician pain management, pain research, and patient education.

    We currently have multiple openings for Registered Practical Nurses who have a positive and professional attitude to work in our clinic completing nursing duties, caring for patients, assisting physicians as well as administrative duties.

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are operating on reduced hours on Monday through Friday. We are closed on Saturdays until further notice.

    This position consists of both clinical and administrative duties.

    Responsibilities:

    • Taking vitals and body weight when needed
    • Assisting physicians in procedures when needed
    • Maintaining Medical inventory and emergency inventories
    • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
    • Administrative tasks (i.e – filing, sorting, labeling, faxing, copying, etc)
    • Taking and testing urine samples
    • Drawing blood samples
    • Patient interview and triage
    • Medical documentation and reviews of medical documentation
    • Medical reporting and dictations
    • Triaging referrals, booking patients and advising of the contraindications to treatments

    Qualifications:

    • Registered with the College of Nurses as a Registered Practical Nurse and is a member in good standing
    • Valid and up-to-date CPR certification
    • Valid and up-to-date criminal records check
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong conflict resolution skills
    • Ability to multitask in an organized and structured manner
    • Ability to interact one-on-one with physicians in a professional and cooperative manner
    • Excellent spelling and grammar, both written and in typing.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Medical Receptionist (Full-Time)

    Toronto Poly Clinic is a busy Multidisciplinary Chronic Pain Management Center for the treatment of chronic pain. We are currently looking to recruit administrative staff. At Toronto Poly Clinic, we are involved in physician pain management, pain research, and patient education.

    We currently have openings for an individual who has a positive and professional attitude, who enjoys working as a team. We are looking to recruit Receptionists and General Office Administration within our team. We are looking to fill full-time positions.

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are operating on reduced hours on Monday through Friday. We are closed on Saturdays until further notice.

    These positions require strong and well-developed communication skills over both phone and electronic communication. Our office is fast paced and so being an organized individual as well as a cooperative team player with experience in the field is an absolute must for this position. Experience in the medical industry is an asset!

    Responsibilities and Qualifications:

    Administrative:

    • File and maintain patient charts according to Clinic requirements.
    • Prepare charts for patients seeing the Doctor.
    • Book patient and Doctor appointments.
    • Complete data entry in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Schedule consultations according to Doctors schedule.
    • Create patient chart for new patients.
    • Confirm booking for patients.
    • Check messages at least 3 times daily.
    • Maintain and order office supplies as needed.
    • Complete and process product and medical supplies inventory.
    • Receive and process payments from patients for products and services.
    • Mail all invoices to the Accounting Dept.
    • Complete and process Supply Requisition Form.
    • Pull charts for all doctor’s schedule as required for the next day.
    • Check/respond to emails in a timely manner.
    • Conduct Urine tests as per Doctor Request.
    • Physician room set up and organization.
    • Cleaning of lunchroom, reception area, physician offices and staff bathroom.

    Customer Service:

    • Greet patients in a welcoming and professional manner.
    • Answer all incoming calls within the first three rings using the proper telephone standard.
    • Prepare patient receipts as required.
    • Provide current/prospective patients with information in person and by phone following doctor’s advice.

    Competencies:

    • Customer service oriented.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Pleasant and professional manner in person or over the phone.
    • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
    • Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment.

    Job Complexities:

    • Need to project a positive image at all times being the first point of contact for patients.
    • Must be able to handle difficult situations in a calm manner.
    • Must be able to handle work volume fluctuations.
    • Must be able to work Saturdays and occasional overtime if applicable.

    The new hours of clinic operations are as follows:

    Mon, Tue and Thu – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

    Minimum of 1 year experience as Medical Receptionist is a must. 2 years experience preferred.
