Pain Management Program (PMP)
This multidisciplinary program is designed to assist the patient who has been injured in a motor vehicle accident or work related accidents and continues to experience pain symptoms and restrictions far longer than would have been expected, despite receiving appropriate medical care.
The goal of this multidisciplinary program is to improve both the physical and psychological management of pain. Specific goal oriented programs to maximize recovery, coping and functioning are provided by a team of experienced and supportive professionals.
Patients complete a screening process, and a medical assessment by a chronic pain consultant. Those patients who are accepted into the multidisciplinary program must make the commitment to attend the program 5 days a week, for 8 weeks. Each week of the program has a specific emphasis, across all areas of treatment. These programs start at regular intervals, with 8 to 10 patients in each session.
